Accreditation of qualifications for induction to Membership and Fellowship of HKCRRT

Minimum Academic Requirement for Membership:
A recognized Master degree or above in Magnetic Resonance Imaging; OR
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus a Magnetic Resonance Imaging specialist qualification recognized by the College; OR
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus attained a grade of 75% or above in an examination set by the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Faculty Committee of HKCRRT.

Clinical Requirements (member):
Cases or duration requirements:- 300 MRI examinations within a 2-year period
Competency requirements:- Acknowledgement of completion of the required clinical examinations as stipulated below by the candidate's supervisor
- Not less than 120 exams of the head & neck
- Not less than 80 exams of the spine
- Not less than 60 exams of the musculoskeletal regions
- Not less than 40 exams of the thorax, abdomen & pelvis

Clinical Requirements (fellow):
Cases or duration requirements:- 3-year full time equivalent post-specialisation clinical experience in MRI
Competency requirements:- Acknowledgement of completion of the required clinical experience in MRI by the candidate's supervisor

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
To remain current the membership and fellowship accredited, the MRI practitioners must accrued at least 45 CPD credits in 3 years, of which 15 credits are relevant to MRI
