Dear Members,

This letter provides you with some updates on the recent movement of the College.

1. The College has submitted formal recommendations to the Legislative Council on 15 April 2025 for the upcoming discussion on “2025 Supplementary Medical Professions (Amendment) Bill”. Below are our three recommendations with regard to the amendment in Cap 359 and 359H:

- Standardize our legal Chinese titles as “放射師”, “放射診斷師” and “放射治療師”, and English title as “Radiation Therapist”
- List MRI explicitly as part of Radiographers’ practice
- Include HKCRRT as a nominating body for Preliminary Investigation Committee membership

These proposals aim to modernize the legal framework for radiographers and radiation therapists, aligning it with contemporary practice and international standards. You can refer to the letter published on this link for more details.
