Accreditation of qualifications for induction to Membership and Fellowship of HKCRRT

Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT)

MHKCRRT (Certified CT Radiographer)

FHKCRRT (Certified CT Radiographer)
香港放射師學院院士(認可電腦掃描放射師)

Minimum Academic Requirement for Membership: 
A recognized Master degree or above in Computed Tomography; OR 
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus a Computed Tomography specialist qualification recognized by the College; OR
A recognized Bachelor degree in medical imaging or related fields or Professional Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography (PDDR) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or equivalent, plus attained a grade of 75% or above in an examination set by the Computed Tomography Faculty of HKCRRT.

Clinical Requirements (member): 
Cases or duration requirements:- 400 CT examinations within a 2-year period
Competency requirements:- Acknowledgement of completion of the required clinical examinations as stipulated below by the candidate's supervisor:
- Not less than 200 examinations of the head and neck
- Not less than 30 examinations of the musculoskeletal regions including spine
- Not less than 150 examinations of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis
- Not less than 10 CT angiograms other than cardiac
- Not less than 5 Cardiac CT angiograms
- Not less than 5 interventional CT procedures

Clinical Requirements (fellow):
Cases or duration requirements:- 3-year full time equivalent post-specialisation clinical experience in CT
Competency requirements:- Acknowledgement of completion of the required clinical examinations by the candidate's supervisor

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
To remain current the membership and fellowship accreditated, the CT practitioners must accrued at least 45 CPD credits in 3 years, of which 15 credits are relevant to CT.
